职位描述 Post Specification

学术/教学助理职位 Academic/Teaching assistant post

1. Teaching Assistant - Mathematics (Ref.2015/087/01)

The applicant should have (i) a Bachelor degree, preferably a higher degree in Science/Engineering, (ii) good teaching and communication skills, (iii) fluent English both in written and spoken; (iv) good physical and mental health; (v) Spirit of team work, as well as ability of working independently when required; and (vi) and be willing to take up extra responsibilities.

Duties include(a) Giving tutorials in the area of Mathematics; (b) Preparation of teaching materials/classes; (c) Grading the assignments; (d) Coordinating student academic activities; (e) Undertaking other work assigned by the supervisor.

2. Teaching Assistant - Programming (Ref.2015/088/01)

The applicant should have (i) a Bachelor degree, preferably a higher degree in Science/Engineering, (ii) good experience in programming, (iii) good teaching and communication skills, (iv) fluent English both in written and spoken; (v) good physical and mental health; (vi) spirit of team work, as well as ability of working independently when required; and (vii) and be willing to take up extra responsibilities.

Duties include(a) Giving tutorials and monitoring labs in programming; (b) Preparation of teaching materials/classes; (c) Grading the assignments and programme coding; (d) Coordinating student academic activities; (e) Undertaking other work assigned by the supervisor.

3. Teaching Assistant - Statistics (Ref.2015/089/01)

The applicant should have (i) a Bachelor degree, preferably a higher degree in Science/Engineering, (ii) good teaching and communication skills, (iii) fluent English both in written and spoken; (iv) good physical and mental health; (v) Spirit of team work, as well as ability of working independently when required; and (vi) and be willing to take up extra responsibilities.

Duties include(a) Giving tutorials in the area of Statistics; (b) Preparation of teaching materials/classes; (c) Grading the assignments; (d) Coordinating student academic activities; (e) Undertaking other work assigned by the supervisor.

4. Teaching Assistant – Chinese (Ref.2015/096/01)

Applicants should have (i) a Master degree in major of Chinese language and literature; (ii) good Chinese, especially in writing capacity; (iii) IT literacy; (iv) ability to work independently, with spirit of team work.

The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in preparation of teaching materials/classes; (b) supporting student consultation and supervising student helpers' work; (c) coordinating academic activities; (d) undertaking other work assigned by the supervisor.

The appointee is expected to commence work in December 2015.
