脑科学与智能技术卓越中心(CEBSIThttp://english.cebsit.cas.cn/),前身为神经科学研究所(ION),是一个跨学科的多机构组织,旨在通过组建协作研究团队来巩固中国科学院实验室的现有研究实力。这些团队将解决脑科学以及涉及大脑启发计算方法和设备的智能技术中的主要前沿问题。

Vishal Kapoor博士领导的视觉认知神经动力学研究组 (Laboratory of Neural Dynamics of Visual Perception and Cognition) 开设了实验室管家职位。实验室的主要研究方向是了解意识感知和认知背后的神经机制,通过灵长类动物的视觉系统,利用最先进的电生理学和计算工具来理解神经活动与主观感知和行为的关系。

职位描述: 

1.负责实验室管理的各个方面。包括实验室人员的管理和培训,引导新实验室人员,进行设备和试剂的采购及维护,以及为实验室人员进行旅行安排。

2.负责管理所有实验室资源,以确保实验室高效运行。

3.负责处理PI认为适当的任何其他实验室相关事宜,包括为访问科学家和学生寻找住所,与其他实验室协调设备使用和共享等。  

4.候选人将有机会参与各级研究活动,包含实验准备,招募被试、数据收集以及预处理。

资质与要求: 

1.管理,生命科学,兽医,神经科学或相关领域的学士(或更高)学位。

2.优秀的中英文口语、阅读和写作能力。

3.良好的沟通和人际交往能力。

4.熟练使用基本的计算机程序(包括Microsoft Office)。能够用其他语言编程者优先考虑。

5.能够独立有效地工作,具有良好的职业道德和团队合作精神。

6.有实验室管家、研究助理工作经验者优先考虑。

7.实验室方法的经验是可取的,但不是必需的。

Lab manager position in the lab of Dr. Vishal Kapoor

The Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology (CEBSIT, http://english.cebsit.cas.cn/), formerly known as the Institute of Neuroscience (ION), is a cross-disciplinary, multi-institutional organization that aims to consolidate existing research strength of CAS laboratories via the formation of collaborative research teams. These teams will address major frontier questions in brain science as well as in intelligence technology that involves brain-inspired computing methods and devices. 

    

Now a lab manager position is open in the Laboratory of Neural Dynamics of Visual Perception and Cognition, led by Dr. Vishal Kapoor. The major focus of the lab is to understand the neural mechanisms underlying conscious perception and cognition. This is investigated in the visual system of primates, utilizing state of the art electrophysiological and computational tools in order to understand the relationship of neural activity to subjective perception and behavior. 

    

Position Description: 

1.  The key responsibilities of the candidate will be related to all aspects of laboratory management. This shall include management and training of lab personnel, orientation of new lab personnel, equipment and reagent purchasing, and maintenance and travel arrangement for lab personnel. 

2.  The candidate will be responsible for the management of all lab resources in order to ensure a highly efficient lab operation. 

3.   The candidate will be responsible for handling any other lab-related matters that the PI sees appropriate, including accommodating visiting scientists and students, coordinating with other labs for equipment usage and sharing, etc.   

4.   There will also be opportunity for the candidate to be involved in research activities at all levels, ranging from experimental preparation, recruiting human subjects and data collection, and preprocessing. 

    

Qualifications and Requirements: 

1.   Bachelor (or higher) degree in management, life sciences, veterinary science, neuroscience or a related field. 

2.   Excellent speaking, reading, and writing skills in both Chinese and English. 

3.   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

4.   Proficiency in using basic computer programs (including Microsoft Office). Ability to program in other languages is a plus. 

5.   Ability to work independently and efficiently, with good work ethics and with a spirit of teamwork. 

6.   Previous experience in a manager/assistant position is preferable.  

7.   Experience in laboratory methods is preferable but not required.
