上海理工大学系统科学学科溯源于1979年成立的系统工程研究所,由钱学森先生亲自出席成立仪式并指导发展,是全国最早建立的同类学科之一,拥有深厚的学术积淀与鲜明的学科特色。学科先后获评原机械工业部重点学科、上海市重点学科、上海市高峰学科、上海市高水平大学重点建设学科,学科多支团队入选上海高水平地方高校创新团队,在教育部第四轮学科评估中。位列全国第3名,第五轮学科评估取得位列国家第一梯队,构建了本、硕、博完整的人才培养体系,是国务院系统科学学科评议组召集人单位、中国系统工程学会教育专业委员会及上海市系统工程学会挂靠单位。
系统科学学科海外骨干教师(长聘教授/副教授)
1.学历与资历:需在海外知名高校获得博士学位,具备扎实的学术功底与独立开展高水平研究的能力;现任职于海外高校,拥有助理教授及以上职称者优先考虑。
2.研究领域:聚焦系统科学核心研究方向,包括但不限于复杂性科学、复杂网络、非线性科学、数学、物理、控制理论、系统管理等,能与学科现有研究方向形成互补或拓展,具备开展跨学科研究的潜力。
3.学术成果:在Cell、Nature、Science正刊或其子刊,以第一作者或通讯作者发表多篇高水平学术论文,研究成果具有重要国际影响力,学术造诣得到同行广泛认可。
4.人才称号:获得各国/地区高端人才称号者,予以优先录用。
5.国籍要求:无。

The Systems Science academic discipline at
USST traces its origin to the Systems Engineering Institute established in
1979, in which the esteemed scientist Qian Xuesen attended the inaugural
ceremony and provided valuable guidance for the institute. Recognized as one of
the pioneering disciplines in this field in
The Systems Science discipline has
received numerous honors, including recognition as the Key Discipline by the
former Ministry of Machine Building, classification as the Shanghai Key
Discipline and Shanghai Peak Discipline by Shanghai Municipal Education
Commission. Furthermore, it has been recognized as a high-level innovation research

Overseas Core Faculty Members in Systems Science (Tenure-track Professor and Associate Professor)
1. Education and Experience: Candidates must hold a PhD from a world-renowned overseas institution, demonstrating a solid academic foundation and the capability for high-level independent research. Preference will be given to candidates currently holding an Assistant Professor position or higher at an international university.
2. Research Focus: Core areas of research should pertain to Systems Science, including but not limited to complexity science, complex networks, nonlinear science, mathematics, physics, control theory, and systems management. Candidates are expected to complement or expand upon existing research directions within the discipline and showcase potential capability for interdisciplinary research.
3. Academic Achievements: Candidates should have published multiple high-impact research papers as first or corresponding authors in top peer-reviewed journals such as Cell, Nature, Science, or their sister/sub journals. The research outcomes should demonstrate significant international impact and recognition within the academic community.
4. Honors/Titles: Candidates possessing high-level talent honors from any country or region will be given priority consideration.

1. Salary Package: We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $150,000 to $300,000 (US dollars). This package will be further enhanced by performance bonuses and research incentives that are commensurate with academic achievements and talent honors. Salary is negotiable on a case-by-case basis, with no upper limit.
2. Research Support: Successful applicants will receive generous research start-up funds, eligible for a 1:1 matching from higher-level funding sources. Other support includes dedicated office and laboratory space, assistance in grouping high-level research teams, guaranteed research team headcounts, and support for applications to national as well as provincial/ministerial research projects.
