Mikael Bjorklund: mikaelbj@intl.zju.edu.cn

个人主页: https://person.zju.edu.cn/en/H118035

研究领域: Growth and cell size are phenotypic hallmarks of cancer and aging. We believe that this is because cellular fitness and functions scale with cell size. Therefore, unbalanced growth and abnormal cell size defines the cellular and organismal fate between young and old as well as health and disease. We are particularly interested in the interplay between mitochondrial function and metabolism. The ultimate aim of our lab is to solve the decades old mystery how animal cells sense and control their size as this will fundamentally transform the way we understand cancer, aging and other metabolic diseases. To achieve this goal, we are taking a systems biology approach combining innovative informatics and experimentation.

Ting Gang Chew: tinggchew@intl.zju.edu.cn

个人主页: https://person.zju.edu.cn/en/H118023

研究领域: Cells sense and transduce mechanical signals to generate appropriate biochemical and cellular response. Both the cellular and extracellular mechanics contribute to the success of cytokinesis, which is the division of one cell into two. Failure of cytokinesis is implicated in genomic instability, tumor evolution, and aging. The success of cytokinesis is linked to the proper interaction of cytokinetic machinery and the extracellular matrix. We aim to study the mechanics and dynamics of cytokinesis in response to different extracellular matrix stiffness during aging or other pathological conditions such as osteoarthritis. To this end, my lab couple chemical genetics, optogenetics and high resolution live cell microscopy imaging to study the mechanobiology of cytokinesis and the consequences of its failure.

Leveraging CRISPR-mediated genome and epigenome engineering tools, NGS and bioinformatics, his lab aims for making prominent impact on stem cell study, cancer diagnosis and prognosis in a long run.

Kuan Yoow Chan: kychan@intl.zju.edu.cn

个人主页: https://person.zju.edu.cn/en/H118031

研究领域: The centrosome is an important signalling and microtubule organizing centre in mammalian cells. Centrosomal defects are a common in high grade cancer and have been shown to trigger tumorigenesis in mice. The impact of centrosomal defects in deregulating the cell cycle in cancer is poorly understood. In addition, cancer genome sequencing efforts worldwide show mutations on centrosomal components are common. Using genetic, cell biology and biochemical assays, we aim to study how the changes in centrosomal signalling lead to the deregulation of the cell cycle in cancer.

张倩婷: qiantingzhang@intl.zju.edu.cn

个人主页: https://person.zju.edu.cn/en/qiantingzhang

研究领域: Dr. Zhang has published several scientific papers in top international journals such as Nature Cell Biology, Science Advances and Nature Communications during the past five years. Her research mainly focuses on dissecting the molecular mechanisms of mammalian gametogenesis and tumorigenesis utilizing mammalian cell lines, gene-modified mouse models and human samples. We investigate: 1) the function and association of key factors in meiotic synapsis and homologous recombination (HR); 2) the role of HR-related proteins in genomic instability and tumorigenesis; 3) the physiological function of deubiquitinase complex in mammalian development.
