The appointees are expected to teach a range of courses in English proficiency, English for academic purposes (EAP) and communication skills for postgraduate students from 2022. The appointees also need to help develop course materials, give lectures with associated preparation and assessment, and contribute to campus English use in all forms to prepare for an expansion of student population in 2024.
任职要求
Applicants with a PhD or Master’s degree in relevant disciplines, a recognized teaching qualification and relevant teaching experience are preferred. Applicants with experience in the following areas would be particularly welcome: 1)Rich experience in teaching Chinese students both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 2)Writing and presentation skills in research as a practitioner, preferably in scientific and technological topics. 3)Experience/commitment to using innovative teaching methodology. 4)Designing teaching materials and teaching high-level proficiency and EAP courses. 5)Teaching pronunciation, perhaps with drama or speech therapy experience.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service: Salary is highly competitive of international standard and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. All posts are Mainland China appointments to be offered by the HKUST Mainland entity in accordance with the local employment laws and regulations. The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to three years commencing most likely in July/August 2022, and is renewable subject to performance, mutual agreement and funding availability.
